All About Our Flagrancy.

Flagrant Brands’ story begins in Austin, Texas, as the brainchild of a Musician driven mad by his Red Rickenbaker bass guitar (as all Red Rics are wont to do).

The Musician’s dreams were filled with improbable projects and outrageous products he feverishly diagrammed in a stylish moleskine journal — what few he remembered anyway.

One day while leafing through his book of demented thoughts and hastily scribbled doo-dads, he asked the most powerful of questions: “What if…?”

And he did.

Wearable lightshows. Launching babies as weapons of peace. Self-adhesive audio manipulation. All brought to life with sweat equity and a rapid incubation startup mentality.

The Cursed Red Ric was not pleased.

It whispered to a corpulent facsimilie of a man about the Musician’s latest creation: a meme vodka. Charmer of snakes and self-important “serial entrepreneur,” Bunco Bill insinuated himself into the Musician’s plans and life, slowly entwining with a helpful quip here and brash extollations of his imaginary expertise and connections there. The weasel worked the confidence racket until he saw his opening to get it all.  Bunco Bill offered a million dollars for the Musician’s mad idea.

Could you resist the lure?

Bait taken — promises were made (pinky swear), the  deal (non-binding) was signed.

As you can guess, the money wasn’t there, the deal fell through. And yet, soon enough, the Musician’s meme vodka appeared in the wild as “The” Meme Vodka. To add further insult, the bottle was covered in clip-art chickens.

“Thievery!” you might think. Yet Bunco Bill was not finished.

Bunco Bill dipped deep into the Pool of Karens to summon his slovenly, grammatically offensive, and 100% shame-free attack chihuahua to torment the Musician for stealing HIS idea.

So it was that after eight months of court battle, the Musician, still full of piss and vinegar, was brought low by the Cursed Red Ric. For the Red Ric knew the Musician would do anything for his life-long love. Bunco Bill and his vile pet drove her to madness with their sadistic narcissisms (the Red Ric was so proud).

To save her, Flagrant Brands was sacrificed on the diabolical altar of greed and malfeasance.

Should companies with insane stories like that* fade to nothing?

We didn’t think so. We bought the company and the company’s story.

We want to create beautiful, improbably things.

We want to build brands that flout the rules.

We want to fight for good ideas (and bad ones).

We are Flagrant Brands™.

* Look, if you can’t tell this story was given some flair so you wouldn’t fall asleep that’s on you, not us.
